The tasks assigned to the municipality
- The municipal council makes its decisions on municipal affairs.
- It studies the municipal budget and approves it.
- It determines, within the limits of municipal revenues and the means at its disposal, the municipality's equipment program.
- It defines the various actions to be undertaken to contribute to the development of the area in accordance with the national development plan.
- It gives its opinion on all matters of a local nature, in particular those relating to the economic, social, and cultural fields, and in all cases provided for by laws and regulations or whenever the higher administration requests it.
- It is consulted in advance for any project envisaged within a municipal area by the State, any other local authority, or public institution.
